Outline of the system

The licensing of trade in species and hunting trophies is regulated by the Regulation of the Minister of Environment No.60 of 25 September 2000, and is administered by the Ministry of Environment.

The licensing covers the species covered by annexes of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and hunting trophies. They are subject to non-automatic licensing.

A free-form application for the licence should specify the name of the species of flora or fauna or hunting trophies that are imported, the purpose of the importation, the owner of the good, the receiver of the good, the deliverer, the point of origin and destination, the probable time of crossing border.
